Description :	Croix de faîtage du clocher de l'église de Camon. Formée de quatres tiges de fer de section carrée de longueur égale, forgées, courbées de manière à être liées les unes aux autres à leurs extrémités. Chaque branche est ornée d'un fruit en forme de bouton et, au-dessous, de pétales façonnés dans de fines lames de fer découpées, martelées et retournées. La branche basse est prolongée par une courte tige de section ronde. La branche haute est prolongée par une longue tige s'affinant progressivement et ornée de bagues espacées régulièrement. Le coeur de la croix est ajouré.

Historique :	Cette croix pourrait avoir été réalisée afin de remplacer la croix de faîtage girouette qui se trouve dans l'église, classée au titre des MH en 1908 et datée du XVIIe siècle (photo 4). Les deux objets sont de facture comparable. La croix qui fait l'objet de la présente notice, dépourvue de girouette, remplissait pleinement sa fonction de paratonnerre avec sa longue branche haute. Sa branche basse, servant d'axe, permettait la rotation de l'objet dans le bloc de pierre dans lequel il était fiché.
