Historique :	Le cimetière de Castelnau est établi autour d'une très vieille église, de la fin du 13e siècle, assez endommagée et qui devait être l'église du château dont les ruines sont voisines. Cet ensemble à colonnes fait partie de ces retables encadrant des toiles et dont le type se trouvait au luxieux château de Lagarde. La peinture représente un Christ aux bras assez rapprochés pour le curé, qui le concidère comme janséniste.
